How to Add a New Category to the Contact Categories

To add a new category to the contacts window, first choose under which current "parent" category the new category will appear.  The top-most levels are the All Contacts category and the Unassigned category.  It allows to create subcategories within these top-most levels, as well as within lower-level categories, such as Carriers or any other category previously created.   

To create a new category under the All Contacts category, selec the parent category by clicking on it.  

After that, click the   button located at the top of the Contacts - All Contacts window.     

The Add Category window will open. 

 

Assign the new category any new name. 

 

The new category will appear located under the parent category that was selected, in this case the All Contacts category.

Note: The pre-defined categories will appear in Bold in opposed to the personally created categories that will not be bolded.
