The categories serve as a tool for managing items. The Category field is one way of classifying your inventory. For example, if your business produces pens, you may use “ballpoint”, “felt tip,” “gel writer,” etc. as your categories. In the Item window, items can be organized using either pre-defined or user-defined categories.
Once categories have been created, they
are assigned to the items. However, you can change any item category
if you wish.
An item category can be changed in the Edit Item window.
